You Are Now The "Other Guy"

From: Armed Females of America

With the new President and Congress in place gun owners will soon face new and unprecedented assaults on our right to own the guns of our choosing. With the extremist majorities President Obama has in both houses of Congress we can expect a full out assault. Even though we have endured these attacks on freedom in the past, those are nothing like what we will see in the coming months.

All you gun owners who went out and purchased new firearms in advance of new gun controls may find them on the ban list and may be forced to turn them in. If you think this isn't possible you are not understanding the reality of who these people are. Look at how easily this administration shoved a bogus trillion dollar spending bill down our throats. Do you really want to put your trust in this new President and Congress to preserve your rights?

Already legislation is penned and poised to be passed in Congress that is worse than the Clinton era "assault weapon" ban. This one will be permanent and will affect many more firearms than were previously listed. These assaults will continue. The gun grabbers are insatiable in their desire to control our gun rights and allow our nation to be controlled by the criminals and drug cartels.

Below you will find an exerpt of H.R. 45 or, ‘Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009’. This bill has far reaching implications, including eventual confiscation of firearms if for some reason you don't meet the licensing requirement, now or in the future.

The story of Blair Holt is certainly tragic and one that is repeated all too often in urban areas. Blair Holt was a young black high school student minding his own business on a city bus and was unmercifully gunned down by a gangbanger with a penchant for killing. The shooting had nothing to do with you or I as lawful gun owners. In fact, if Chicago didn't have such restrictive gun laws there could have been an armed citizen available to stop the tragedy before it started.

If murder is already illegal how would another gun law, no matter who it is named for, prevent more murders? There is nothing in H.R. 45 that would have prevented the death of Blair Holt.

Since we, as gun owners cannot rely on our representatives to protect our God given rights we must assume they will pass this measure. We can no longer sit back and expect the "other guy" to write letters and loudly protest these unconstitutional intrusions. We all must do our part.

not law-abiding gun ownersThe FBI recently released information showing that 80% of the violent crime in this country is committed by gang members. We are not gang members! But the image on the left is what the anti-gun bigots see when they think of you as a "gun owners".

Gangs and violent crime is not only a law enforcement matter. This violence affects us all and as freedom loving gun owners we should join law enforcement and declare war on violent crime and violent criminals.

Don't give the Brady Bunch the high ground on fighting gun violence. Brady does nothing to combat crime or criminal gangs. They should be looking to us for answers to this national problem. All we can say is we are not the problem, but the solution. Gun owners and gun rights groups have missed the target on this opportunity to take the high ground.

Armed Females of America is supporting the Second Amendment March as a show of force by law abiding gun owners. If you can't make it to Washington, D.C. they are planning demonstrations at state capitols and other large cities. If you are interested in participating in this effort, or have useful organizing skills please contact the Second Amendment March for more information on how you can get involved. mailto:info@secondamendmentmarch.com.

These demonstrations will be peaceful on the scale and tone of the civil rights marches of the 1960's and should go a long way in dispelling the negative image of gun owners. Becoming pro active is the only way we can keep our message in the public eye. We should continue our activism until our message is clear and the threats against our rights have been neutralized.
