What
the hell is wrong with women?

No,
this is not a rhetorical question. It’s a wholesale condemnation
of every woman’s group in this country that claims to hold
women’s rights sacred, claims to look out for women’s interests
and yet condemns guns, shuns armed self-defense and insists
on portraying and preserving the status of women as victims
rather than empowering them to take responsibility for their
own lives.
Yes,
I realize I’m writing for a women’s group. I realize there
are literally thousands of women out there who belong to
pro Second Amendment rights groups, who hunt, shoot and
who have used guns in self-defense. However, strong, independent
women who realize the importance of being free to defend
yourself against an assailant, who understand that the police
will likely not save you in an emergency and who hold dear
the freedom to keep and bear arms are a pathetic minority.
Why?
I’ve
checked several large women’s rights websites. The National
Organization for Women (NOW) claims to have 550 chapters
in the United States and over a half a million contributing
members! This is a group that’s dedicated, among other things,
to end violence against women. And yet – armed self-defense
is not part of their agenda. Rather,
taking away guns from anyone and everyone who has the capacity
to bring harm to a woman is.. In other words – NOW favors
enslaving the population through gun control over placing
a well-aimed round in the head of a wife abuser.
The
United Nations also has a “development fund” for women –
UNIFEM. One of its stated goals is "Eliminating
violence against women and girls by investing in prevention,
protection and advocacy strategies." Well, that’s
all well and good, if it wasn’t for the fact that the UN
wasn’t out to disarm all law-abiding citizens and establish
itself as the governor (read: slave master) of all, including
women. It claims to explore ways to end violence against
women, but seeks to unilaterally disarm them, leaving them
at the mercy of their assailants or their governments.
The
League of Women Voters is also decidedly anti-gun, supporting
federal legislation to take away our right to keep and bear
arms. Their stated mission is to “Protect
the health and safety of citizens through limiting the accessability
and regulating the ownership of handguns and semi-automatic
assault weapons.” This is a group that allegedly has
women’s interests at heart. But it appears that protecting
a constitutionally and morally guaranteed right is not in
women’s best interests – at least not according to these
morons. No, regulating how women defend themselves, how
they empower themselves and what purchases they choose to
make is apparently the “women’s best interest” of the day.
And
of course, who could forget the Million
(more like a thousand) Mom March, the National
Council of Jewish Women and Mothers
Against Gun Violence? There are tons of them. Some are
gigantic, and some are small. But they all advocate the
same thing: slavery, victimization and dependence on the
state, instead of freedom, self-defense and personal responsibility.
It
appears the majority of women (69 percent, according to
an ABC poll conducted in 2002) support stricter gun control
laws. They’re afraid, they’re needy, they’re dependent and
they’re clueless. Why would any woman or women’s group claim
to have women’s best interests at heart, while unilaterally
trying to disarm them? And worse yet, why would the women
who support these organizations trust these organizations
when they clearly have a political agenda in mind?
Well, here are a few clues:
1.
Anyone who tries to disarm you and make you dependent on
someone else for your safety IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. Sarah Brady,
Patricia Ireland, Donna Dees-Thomases and their ilk don’t
want to protect you. They want to leave you defenseless
so that they can promote a political agenda that will make
you less self-reliant, less independent and ultimately less
secure.
2.
You are not a victim. They want to portray you as weak.
They want to render you worthless, mistreated and victimized.
They want to portray you as pathetic losers, incapable of
taking care of yourselves and your children. That is why
they continue to pound clueless legislators in DC with manipulated
statistics and misguided guilt trips. Get a clue. They want
to portray you as being incapable of defending yourself,
because if you were an independent, self-reliant woman,
capable of protecting herself and her family – no new laws
and restrictions would be necessary, and they would be out
of a job.
3.
A piece of paper will not protect you against a violent
spouse or boyfriend. If he’s willing to pound the snot out
of you to begin with, he’s already committing a criminal
act, and no piece of paper will stop him from doing it again,
even if it is misleadingly called an “order of protection.”
4.
They want to portray you as to incompetent to use guns for
self-defense. They want you to rely on police for your protection.
Get a clue. Some police emergency response times can be
as long as 15 to 17 minutes, and about 11 percent of police
shootings harm innocent bystanders. Do you think a robber,
rapist or murderer will wait around for you to dial 9-1-1
and wait for the police? On the other hand, according to
the Bureau of Justice Statistics, armed citizens prevent
550 rapes, 1100 murders and thousands of other violent crimes
each day just by showing a gun. Which do you choose?
5.
No amount of petulant whining, hand wringing and misrepresentation
by NOW, Handgun Control Inc, or the Million Morons will
make you into a victim. Your support of these political
freaks will. Your unquestioning acceptance of their dogma
of destruction will. And your lack of self-confidence, self-reliance
and self-worth will make you into a willing victim. You
are the only one who can make these people right. Is that
what you want?
These
supposed women’s groups don’t care about you. They don’t
care about your capabilities, your strengths or your will
to live. They care about prostrating you at the altar of
self-destruction. They care about enslaving you and using
your own ignorance as chains to bind you. They claim to
work for the equality of the genders, and yet shun the great
equalizer – armed self-defense. They assert that the only
way to truly protect you is to take away the most effective
means of protection available to you. They claim you are
just as intelligent, capable and independent as men, but
they work to prove you otherwise. In other words: THEY LIE.
Remember that next time you support their obscene cause.
